4C DIGITAL PRINTING
Characteristics and benefit
- computerised printing process
- representation of color transitions
- high-resolution, photo-realistic
- small print runs
With digital printing, small drops of ink are sprayed onto the pen to create an image. UV light is then used to immediately dry the ink. With 4c digital printing, photo-realistic motifs can be achieved, even in small quantities. This allows us to print your personal business card on a STABILO BOSS ORIGINAL, for example.
360° photo printing
Characteristics and benefit
- printing via carrier film and heat
- full-surface all-round printing
- photo-realistic result
- any number of colors
In 360° photo printing, the promotional message is pre-printed on a film and then transferred to the pen using heat. For products with 360° photo printing capability, images can be printed all around and all over the pen. Any number of colors can be used to create an impressive, photo-realistic promotional message.
Relief printing
Characteristics and benefit
- transparent varnish in a noticeably thicker layer
- tangible promotional messages
- glossy surface
- elegant and individual
For relief printing a transparent varnish is applied to the motif in a thick layer, a glossy surface is formed on the printed areas. This makes it stand out against the background and form a perceptible outline. An impressive finish thanks to the great feel and gloss.
Pad printing
Characteristics and benefit
- Printing via ink absorption and ink release of silicon pad
- Texts and logos with intricate details
- elegant, stylish lines
- detailed look
With pad printing, the motif is reproduced in a recess on a panel. The color in the recess is picked up on a silicon pad and then transferred to the pen. Pad printing is the most important printing process for our plastic pens and is particularly well suited for fine lines. This means that pad printing is very useful for texts and logos with delicate details on pens.
Screen printing
Characteristics and benefit
- printing through fine meshed fabric and non-permeable stencils
- printing on a variety of surfaces and shapes
- opaque colors
- durable
During screen printing, the color is printed onto the pen through fine meshed fabric. The print motif is created using a stencil where the mesh openings are non-permeable at the necessary points. Because the screen printing process can be used to print on many different surfaces and shapes, it is the classic printing choice for promotional items. Special printing inks ensure impressive coverage and the longevity of the printed message.
Laser engraving
Characteristics and benefit
- metal finishing
- fine lines and intricate details
- stylish and subtle
- durable
During laser engraving, a laser beam is used to make the material so hot that color contrasts can be created or the material vaporised or burnt. The engraving is wear-resistant and the finished product is both elegant and subtle. The color of the laser engraving depends on the color of the layer underneath.
Embossing
Characteristics and benefit
- leather and wood finishing
- haptic experience
- durable
- elegant result
During stamping, a recess is made in the material using a stamp. This process is carried out either as blind stamping – i.e. without adding color – or as hot foil stamping with a colorful design. For a colorful design, hot foil stamping makes use of special foils that transfer the motif in color using the pressure and heat of the stamp.
